Amarnath Yatra 2018: Div Com reviews ongoing works on Baltal track
 
SRINAGAR, JULY 16: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the measures being taken to prevent shooting stones along the Baltal route to the holy Amarnath cave.

The meeting was informed that the breast-walling at four critical spots near the holy cave is under progress which will be completed in three days. 75 crates of mesh-wire are already available at the spot and it has been fixed up to the point where breast-walling has been completed.

Officials informed that the necessary works on the side-drains have already been completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The Divisional Commissioner directed Beacon and R&B engineers to finish the pending work within three days so that the devotees who come from all parts of the country, don’t face any difficulty.

He also stressed the concerned officers to work with zeal and zest to ensure hassle free Amarnath Yatra this year.

Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Deputy Director Rural Development Department, Superintending Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control, Superintending Engineer BEACON and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
