In Afghanistan, at least 32 people were killed and over 120 injured in Nangarhar province yesterday following a devastating suicide bomb attack on protesters who were calling for the dismissal of a police commander.
According to Attaullah Khogyani, the spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar, the protesters in Momand Dara had gathered to demand the dismissal of a police commander, Bilal Pacha, whom they accused of involvement in arbitrary killings, robberies and maintaining a private prison.
