England beat India A by 3 wickets in warm-up game

In Cricket, ahead of the upcoming ODI series, England defeated India A by 3 wickets last evening in the first warm up game, which was Mahendra Singh Dhoni's final match as captain of the Men in Blue.
Put in to bat at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, India A posted 304 for 5, riding on Ambati Rayadu's 100 and half centuries by Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan. Dhoni made a 40-ball 68. He scored 23 runs in the final over hitting 2 sixes and 2 fours.

However, in reply, a strong performance by England's top order, led by Sam Billings, helped the visitors overhaul the target with 7 balls to spare and 3 wickets in hand. Billings made 93, with Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Liam Dawson and Alex Hales also making valuable contributions. Kuldeep Yadav bagged 5 wickets.

The second warm-up game will be played at the same venue tomorrow in which the India A side will be led by Ajinkya Rahane. The 3-match ODI series begins on Sunday in Pune.
