DYSS to organize Volleyball, Cricket tournaments in Pulwama
 
PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 10: District Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Department in collaboration with District Administration Pulwama is going to organise mega Volleyball and Cricket tournaments in the district.

In this connection, desired clubs and village teams are requested to register their teams at the office of District Youth Services and Sports department Pulwama within 5 days from the date of publication of this notice.

The tournaments will be conducted in Pulwama, Kakapora, Pampore and Tral blocks.

ADDC Budgam reviews Eid-e-Milad un Nabi(SAW) arrangements

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 10:- Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Khursheed Ahmad Sanie today reviewed the arrangements made for the celebrations of Eid-e- Milad un Nabi(SAW).

Reviewing the arrangements, the ADDC stressed upon the concerned officers for providing all requisite facilities to the devotees, such as safe drinking water, sanitation, medical care facilities, uninterrupted power supply, adequate transport facilities, parking places, adequate number of fire tenders at the places where large congregations of Eid-e-Milad un Nabi (SAW) will be held, particularly Chareshareef, Makhama Beerwah and other prominent shrines and khankhas. ADDC directed Chief Medical Officer Budgam for establishing special medical camps equipped with all first aid facilities at the shrines of Chareshareef and Makhama Beerwah.

The ADDC enjoined upon the authorities of FCS&CA for providing sufficient quota of rice, K-oil, LPG, atta and sugar to the people. To ensure proper lighting of worship places during the auspicious days, the ADDC directed PDD department to keep additional facilities like generator sets ready at the identified places for uninterrupted electricity supply. Exen PHE was tasked to ensure adequate water supply.

Regarding cleanliness and sanitization facilities, the ADDC directed municipal authorities to ensure proper sanitation measures are put in place in advance in the vicinity of the shrines/khankhas where large number of devotees is expected to assemble.

Regarding the transport services and traffic management particularly during the wee hours, the ADDC directed ARTO to ensure round the clock transport services available to the devotees especially during night hours. In addition ARTO shall also coordinate with traffic department to streamline traffic arrangements and ensure better transport facilities and route plan across the district.

Keeping in view prevailing and ensuing weather conditions, the ADDC directed Mechanical department/R&B for keeping ready snow clearance machines at the venues.

Fire and Emergency department was asked to place and ensure adequate number of fire tenders and persons available round the clock.

Among the others, the meeting was attended by all SDMs, CMO, Exen R&B, PHE and PDD, ARTO, AD FCS&CA all EOs of municipal committees and other concerned.
