| Pune to host Khelo India Youth Games 2019; Jersey launched | | | |  Pune 09 December
Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore launches jersey for Khelo India Youth Games; Pune to host Games in 2019; Tennis and table tennis also to be part of 2019 edition of games; 9000 athletes to take part in the games next year.
The second edition of Khelo India games will be held in Pune in January 2019. The inaugural event of Khelo India, which has been rechristened as Khelo India Youth Games, was held only for the Under-17 age group, while the second edition will also have Under-21 athletes participating in 18 disciplines.
Referring to 'Khelo India', Union Sports minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore said it is a grassroots sports programme that is providing a platform at the level of school students, which is of international level. | | | | |
