Supreme Court has deferred hearing in the Ayodhya case to January 29. The matter was postponed after Justice UU Lalit recused himself from the case.
Justice Lalit, one of the five judges of the Supreme Court bench that was scheduled to hear the case, has opted out over conflict of interest.
The move comes after Senior advocate Rajeev Dhawan pointed out that the said judge had appeared as a lawyer for one of the parties nearly two decades ago.
The Supreme Court will now hear the case on January 29. | | | |
