India's competitions at Special Olympics World Games | | | New Delhi 15 March India will be competing in Badminton, Powerlifting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Football, Basketball, Handball and Roller Skating in the Abu Dhabi Special Olympics on Friday.
Team India is the second largest contingent after the host UAE with 387 players, along with coaches and other staff.
The Games kicked off last evening with a spectacular star-studded ceremony on Thursday evening.
The Games were declared open by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
7,500 special athletes from 200 countries marched at the Zayed Stadium to the rousing ovation of the 40,000 strong crowd. | | | |
