Bhim Singh urges President of India to cancel Jammu – Lok Sabha Polls

Jammu April 13 (Correspondent)
Prof. Bhim Singh, a candidate of Jammu – Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency which went for polls on 11th April, 2019, has urged on the President of India to exercise his exclusive power to cancel Lok Sabha election and direct CEC to hold fresh election to the Lok Sabha from this constituency again. He said that the Lok Sabha Polls were rigged at several places and in many Polling Stations the Electronic Machines failed to operate. There are plenty of instances where the candidates brought to the notice of the Presiding Officers that the Voter got a slip with ballot print to the opposite candidate. It is also on record that the security forces from different wings used violence against the Voters to harass and intimidate them inside the Polling Stations in Poonch & Rajouri sectors. The districts of Rajouri & Poonch fall on the LoC bordering with Pakistan.

Prof. Bhim Singh accused the state government for providing all assistance and police force to the BJP which rigged election in favour of, naturally, BJP.

NPP candidate also accused the Presiding Officers at many Polling Stations for not allowing the NPP Polling Agents just on the instructions of the BJP. NPP Supremo said that the Polling Agents from Rajouri & Poonch districts tried to take up the issue with the Presiding Officers who rejected all appeals made by the Panthers Party Polling Agents.

Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President of India for his intervention as the President is the only authority who can intervene to check the conduct of the Chief Election Commission and the State Government during the Governor Rule.
