Heavy rains lash Mumbai
 
Mumbai June 10:-
Heavy rains have been lashing Mumbai since last night leading to water logging at many places.

Local train services between Kurla and CSMT were halted according reports.

Mumbai’s Colaba and Santacruz recorded 65.4 mm and 50.4 mm of rainfall from last evening to this morning.

South Mumbai has been witnessing heavy rainfall since late last night.

Entire stretch of Breach Candy has been waterlogged and footpath too has been submerged.

Rainfall also caused low visibility on eastern freeway.

Mumbai police issued an advisory for commuters to avoid some areas due to water logging.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) the southwest monsoon set in over several parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, today, ahead of its normal arrival date of June 10.

The weather department has predicted cloudy sky with moderate rain and thundershowers in the financial capital and suburbs.

There is possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.
