Women’s Asia Cup T20 cricket: India defeats Thailand by 9 wickets & enters semi-finals
 
New Delhi October 10:-
In the Women’s Asia Cup T20 Cricket, India thrashed Thailand by nine wickets at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh today and finished on top of the points table. Chasing a target of 38 runs set by Thailand, India made 40 for the loss of one wicket with 14 overs to spare.

Earlier, put into bat, Thailand were all out for 37 runs in 15.1 overs. Spinner Sneh Rana was the pick of the bowlers for India with three for nine runs.

With this win, India has 10 points. Pakistan is on second position with eight points. Sri Lanka also have eight points but stays in third position as Pakistan's run rate is high. Thailand is at the fourth spot with six points. Bangladesh is in fifth position with four points.

Ms. Smriti Mandhana, who became today only second Indian women Cricketer to play 100th T20I match, has said that the day is special for her and the performance of the team made it extra special. She said, the team will work hard for the semi-final to be held after two days.
