Men's Cricket: New Zealand set victory target of 177 runs for India

In Men's Cricket, New Zealand have set a victory target of 177 runs for India in the first T20 International of the three-match series at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. In reply, India were 63 for 3 in 9 overs, when reports last came in. New Zealand scored 176 for 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. For visitors, Daryl Mitchell was the highest scorer who was not out at 59 off 30 balls. Earlier, India won the toss and opted to field.

The hosts won the ODI series 3-nil. India won the third and final ODI at the Holkar stadium in Indore by 90 runs, secured a comprehensive eight wicket win in the second ODI in Raipur and won the first one-dayer by 12 runs in Hyderabad.
