Jammu, Jan 04: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Sunday flagged off a 10-day educational, cultural exchange and communal harmony tour of youths from here, an official spokesperson said. The LG interacted with the team of 25 youths from various districts of South Kashmir and extended his best wishes to them.
During the 10-day tour, the students and emerging youth leaders will visit various parts of the country, including Chandigarh, Haryana and Shimla, the spokesperson said.

New Delhi, Jan 4: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday ordered a major reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre, transferring several officers across Union Territories and states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Srinagar, Jan 3: Cold conditions persisted across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Saturday, with several places in the Kashmir Valley recording sub-zero minimum temperatures, while Ladakh continued to experience intense cold, officials said.
According to data compiled by Kashmir Weather, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.5 degrees Celsius, while the nearby Srinagar Airport registered a low of minus 2.0 degrees Celsius.

| J&K Bank reports 13.34 percent rise in Q3 total business |

Srinagar, Jan 4: Jammu and Kashmir Bank witnessed a double-digit growth in its total business for the third quarter of the current financial year, reflecting steady expansion in deposits and advances despite moderation in low-cost deposits.
In a quarterly business update, the bank said its total business increased 13.34 per cent year-on-year to ?2.72 lakh crore at the end of the December quarter, compared with the corresponding period last year.
