Biggest garden, Gul Lalah, the latest facilities this year ahead of G20 In Kashmir written by ashok Raina
 
Asia's largest Tulip Garden is located on the banks of the Afaq Dal Lake and at the foot of the charming Zabron mountain range, in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Every spring it is opened for tourists and the general public. The good news for those who want to visit the Garden of Gul Lallah is that this year a 'Gul Lallah Fest' is being organized in this very beautiful garden under the theme 'Bahaar Kashmir', in which different types of colorful programs will be organized.

This year the Garden of Flowers is being equipped with the latest facilities. New lights have been installed for lighting in the garden, while other types of facilities are also being maintained for the tourists. Sources revealed that 15 lakh flowers of 48 varieties have been grown this year and will be opening for tourists and local people from 1st April. Sources said that this garden will be kept open for about a month for the tourists to visit and enjoy. Sources told that we expect that this year a large number of domestic and foreign tourists will come to visit this biggest garden of Asia, Gul Lalalu 'This year, to make the tourists' visit more delicious and memorable, the Gul Lala festival is being organized in Bagh Gul Lala under Bihar Kashmir, during which various colorful programs will be organized'.

While the garden is open, stalls will be set up selling handicrafts and cuisines of the valley. 'Bagh Gul Lallah Spread over an area of 30 hectares (602 acres), thousands of tulips have bloomed into colorful flowers in this garden Gul Lallah.' Red, yellow, orange, purple, white, pink, parrot, yellow, two-colored and tri-colored flowers have already spread attractive views of the colors all around in the Garden of Flowers.

Due to the establishment of Bagh Gul Lalah in Kashmir, the tourist season here has increased by two months. As before 2008, the season used to start moving towards the valley from the last week of May, now the season enters Kashmir only from April. Officials of the department of floriculture busy decorating the garden of Gul Lalah said, 'We expect that this year a record number of tourists will visit the valley to visit this biggest garden of Gul Lalah' ahead of G20 to be an expectation of this remarkable year. When this garden was opened for tourists in the year 2014, during the first seven days only more than 40 thousand tourists visited this garden. In the last 9 years, it has been observed that a large number of local people from different corners of India and foreign tourists have shown interest in visiting. During this short period, songs for several films from the South Indian film industry and Bollywood films were shot in this garden.

The officials of the Department of Floriculture said that this garden is spread over an area of 30 hectares (602 acres). Out of this, 18 hectares are used for tourist interest. While 124 canal beds are made on the ground. And parks have been built on the rest of the land. This garden is open for at least a month for the tourists and local people to visit and enjoy.

'The flower of GUL LAL is very delicate, as well as the life of this flower is surrounded only for 15 to 17 days. However, the life of a tulip depends on its type and weather conditions. If the weather is cool then its life can be extended. If the temperature goes above 20 degrees, then its life is shortened by a few days. The officials of the floriculture department further said that the flower department uses different types of tulips alternately to keep the flower garden open for at least a month. On being asked whether there is a possibility of damage to the flowers of Gul Lalah due to snowfall, the answer was that due to seasonal snowfall, tulips are not damaged due to snowfall. Yes, it is possible that the tulip plants may break.
