Back to film-watching with tourism in the valley

Along with tourism in Kashmir valley, Bollywood is also returning and this time a song of a Bollywood film will be shot in Kashmir instead of Switzerland. Alia Bhatt and other prominent film stars will be seen. After a gap of more than three decades, the Indian film industry - Bollywood is moving towards Kashmir for shooting scenes to create an aura of uniqueness and affinity with a largely disaffected audience.

Kashmir, widely known for its beauty, was an easy destination for many Bollywood directors for much of the second half of the twentieth century, due to its proximity to the industrial hub of Mumbai and despite this, due to its unparalleled and enchanting beauty, most of the films shoot in Kashmir.

Due to the outbreak of insurgency, industry people almost stopped coming here, which resulted in the closure of theatres across the Valley. However, it was last year that the current Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha had actor Aamir at SKICC.

A new film policy was launched at a star-studded event in the presence of Khan and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, to give a new ray of hope and lure people back to the industry. Towards Kashmir, Sinha believes the film policy aims to make Jammu and Kashmir the most favoured location for the entertainment industry, reviving its last days of cinematographer's bliss and the golden days of film shooting in the region.

Bringing back the era and at the same time raising the promising potential for the natives. Talent and creating livelihood opportunities for many Sinha had said that I invite filmmakers from all over the world to come to Jammu and Kashmir and see its ancient beauty through their lens.

Opened first multiplex in the valley which has of late attracted many to rekindle their interest in the Bollywood industry apparently taking a green signal from the management, Karan Johar directed the crew of "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" has landed in the world famous ski resort of Gulmarg to shoot a song for the film.

The song will be a tribute to the late filmmaker Yash Chopra. Ranveer and Alia will recreate the looks of Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor from the late 1980s Yash Chopra-directed film Sankhti ,Alia will be seen wearing chiffon sarees, while Ranveer, for a change, will be seen in formal wear while as Karan Johar is believed to have wanted to shoot the song in Switzerland but he shifted it to Kashmir due to Alia Bhatt's personal reasons. The film was moved because the filmmaker believes that Kashmir has the same snow feel as Switzerland. "Roki Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" is expected to bring the audience back to watch Bollywood, in the form of the recently released Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathan'. Going through a silver line phase.
