India's G-20 chairmanship is a very memorable moment in the country's history as it has become very important for finding global solutions for the prosperity of all and in doing so it shows the true spirit of Vasudeva Kattambakam or the world is one family.

India assumed the presidency of G-20 on December 1, 2022. Earlier, Indonesia held the responsibility of G-20 presidency. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his views about this. Efforts are on to bring about positive changes at the global level through 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”

India's G-20 presidency will focus on climate change. Under this, not only the capital and technology needed to deal with climate change will be emphasized, but it will also ensure a fair process of energy transition for the developing countries of the world. India will continue to focus on sectors that are capable of fundamental reforms.

India, under its G-20 presidency, can adopt a human-based approach to technology and information sharing. These areas cover agriculture and education as well as Women's leadership in the development process and equal opportunities for women are also key points of India's G-20 presidency. Although the G-20 meetings are being held at different places in the country, it gives India an opportunity to showcase its culture, heritage and arts.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for choosing Srinagar for the meeting of the third G20 Tourism Working Group, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said that the event will help boost the tourism potential of Jammu and Kashmir. Eco-tourism, film tourism and green tourism are included. He said, "I hope that the representatives of foreign countries who are part of the G20 event in Srinagar will help to remove the negative travel advisories imposed on Jammu and Kashmir by some foreign countries. I am happy to see that representatives of some foreign countries which have imposed travel advisory on Jammu and Kashmir are also attending the Srinagar function.

He said that the Jammu administration has been focusing on the four Ps for the last four years. It is focusing on peace, development and prosperity.
