PM Modi congratulates Indian cricket team for entering World Cup finals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian cricket team for entering the World Cup finals in remarkable style. In a social media post, Mr Modi said India put up a superlative performance and praised India's batting and bowling. He gave Team India his best wishes for the Finals.

Prime Minister also praised Mohammed Shami for his bowling saying that his bowling through the World Cup will be cherished by cricket lovers for generations to come. Mr Modi also lauded the exceptional performance of cricketer Virat Kohli who surpassed legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 centuries in the ODI matches. Prime Minister said, Viral Kohli has not just scored his 50th ODI century but has also exemplified the spirit of excellence and perseverance that defines the best of sportsmanship. He said, this remarkable milestone is a testament to Virat Kohli’s enduring dedication and exceptional talent.
