A colourful spectacle of patriotism, military might and cultural diversity marked the 75th Republic Day celebration in Bengaluru today. Karnataka Governor Thwarchand Gehlot unfurled the national flag on the parade grounds to mark the Republic Day celebration in Bengaluru. In his Republic Day speech, the Governor extended his greetings for the day and said that the preamble of the Constitution provides justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity to all citizens.
After the Republic Day speech by the Governor, an impressive march passed by army and police contingents and school children spread national pride. A Kalaripayattu martial art demonstration by Madras Engineer Group soldiers and a daredevil performance by the ACS motorcycle display team aptly named Tornadoes enthralled the audience. The cultural dance performance by 1500 schoolchildren wearing ethnic attire and dressed as national heroes, entertained the gathering. | | | | |
