J&K: Army troops guarding LoC in frontier district Poonch opens fire to bring down Pakistani Quad-copters at two different places

Jammu February 16:-
In Jammu and Kashmir, Army troops guarding the Line of Control (LoC) in frontier district Poonch today opened fire to bring down Pakistani Quad-copters at two different places today. The alert troops of the army noticed two quad-copters entering the Balnoi area of Mendhar, around 6.30 AM and opened fire but the remotely controlled flying machines returned to the Pakistan side after briefly hovering over the

Indian Territory in Balnoi-Mendhar and Gulpur sectors of Poonch district. Similarly, a couple of quad-copters hovering over the Gulpur sector around the same time returned in the face of firing by the army troops. However, a search operation was launched in both sectors to ensure there was no dropping of weapons or narcotics by the quad-copters. Earlier on February 12, Army troops had fired on an enemy drone after picking up its movement in the Mankote area of the Mendhar sector. Pakistan is using drones to drop narcotics and weapons in J&K.
