On Winning T20 World Cup 2024 , Indian Men’s Team Captain Rohit Sharma Says Team Had Worked Very Hard And Waited Lot For This Achievement

On winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Indian men’s Cricket team captain Rohit Sharma said the team had worked very hard and waited a lot for this achievement. In a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (4th July 2024) at his residence in New Delhi, Mr Sharma said the team had come very close to winning the World Cup 2023 but could not finally win it, but this time they were able to achieve it owing to everybody’s efforts.



Former Captain and star batter Virat Kohli shared how he overcame his back to back failures in the World Cup and how it was important for him to set aside his ego in order to perform like the way he did in the World Cup Final against South Africa.
Suryakumar Yadav who took an extraordinary catch to dismiss South African batsman David Miller in the final over to turn the match in India’s favour said, the team practices such catches a lot and he did not think much while going for it.

Hardik Pandya who was instrumental in India’s victories throughout the tournament and bowled an extraordinary spell in the final match said that he wanted to give an answer to his critics and he wanted to give it through his performance.



Jasprit Bumrah who led the Indian bowling attack in the tournament and won Man of the Tournament trophy said he feels good whenever his efforts help Team India win from a difficult situation.
