Indian Women’s Table Tennis Team Advances To Quarterfinals At Paris Olympics After Thrilling 3-2 Victory Over Romania | | | Paris AUGUST 05:- At Paris olympics, in table tennis team event, Indian womens including Manika Batra, Sreeja Akula, and Archana Kamath beat the Romanian team by 3-2 in the pre-quarterfinal match. With this win, they have qualified for the quarterfinal. In wrestling, Nisha Dahiya has reached 68kg freestyle quarter-final final beating Tetiana Sova of Ukraine by 6-4 in the pre-quarter event. In Badminton, Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen missed out on a historic Olympic medal as he lost to Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia by 21-13,16-21,10-21 in the bronze medal match. Indian shooters Anant Jeet Singh Naruka and Maheshwari Chauhan lost to China in the bronze medal play-off in the skeet mixed team event. In athletics, India will be represented by two athletes, Kiran Pahal, who will compete in the women’s 400m round 1, and Asian Games gold medallist Avinash Sable, who will strive to qualify for the 3000m steeplechase final, later in the day.
