Assam: Devotees Visit Durga Puja Pandals To Offer Prayers To Goddess Durga | | | Assam October 10:- In Assam, almost all the puja committees across the state designed the makeshift Durga puja pandals with various motifs and themes that are trending across the globe to attract more people into their pandals apart from disseminating constructive messages for the people. Devotees are offering prayers to goddess Durga in these pandals with devotion and religious fervour. The capital city of Guwahati alone has several hundred makeshift Durga puja pandals.
Bhaskar Nagar puja committee was designed like Jagannath Puri; the Athgaon Puja committee pandal’s theme is Mahabharata Indraprastha; Pandu rest camp puja pandal was designed like Jaipur Fort; the Rehabari Bilpar pandal showcases Assamese bamboo handicraft; and Arya Nagar pandal’s theme is inspired by Harry Potter and Hogwarts. Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma visited multiple Puja Pandals in Guwahati sought blessings from the mother goddess and prayed for peace and prosperity for the people of the state. | | | |
