| Manipur: Security Forces Arrest 7 KCP Insurgents In Imphal | | | | NEW DELHI OCTOBER 15:-
A combined team of security forces conducted a search operation in and around Langol Games Village Zone III area of Imphal West district today and arrested seven cadres of the proscribed insurgent group- KCP (Nongdrenkhomba Group).
Speaking to a media person, the Superintendent of Imphal West district said that the arrested cadres of proscribed groups are connected with various extortion cases related to government employees, businessmen and the general public. The cases of extortion have increased drastically in the State and the Manipur Police has arrested eleven cadres of different insurgent groups within two days in extortion cases. He said that the Manipur Police is considering booking under NSA for extortionists and in extreme cases the Police will hand over the cases to NIA for further investigation. | | | | |
