| Police trace allegedly kidnapped minor girl in Jammu; accused juvenile taken into custody | | | | Srinagar, Oct 17: J&K police Thursday said they have traced a minor girl allegedly kidnapped by a juvenile from Phallain Mandal in Jammu.
The complaint was registered at the Samba police station by the girls’ mother, a resident of Bihar. In her complaint, she said “that her 13-year-old daughter had been kidnapped by an unknown person,” an official told media reporters.
Following this, an FIR 269/2024 was registered under section 137 (2) of BNS at police station Samba and search operation was launched to locate the girl, said the official.
The girl was finally traced along with the accused juvenile in Phallain Mandal in Jammu, said the official. He said, the accused has been taken into the custody and further investigation is in process. | | | | |
