Cable Theft Causes Delays On Delhi Metro’s Blue Line

NEW DELHI DECEMBER 05:-
The train services on Delhi Metro’s Blue Line are running today at restricted speed due to a reported theft and damage to the metro’s signalling cables. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation – DMRC, said that the metro line running from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City and Vaishali was affected after some miscreants allegedly damaged the cable between Moti Nagar and Kirti Nagar Metro stations. As a result, trains are being regulated in this section resulting in a bunching of trains and some delays in services. DMRC assured that normal train services are available on the rest of the section of Blue Line.
The necessary repairs are scheduled after the closing of revenue service during night hours to avoid inconvenience to the public during the day. The DMRC has requested the passengers to plan their journeys accordingly.
