Devendra Fadnavis Takes Oath As Maharashtra Chief Minister | | | Mumbai DECEMBER 05:- BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis today took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra along with two deputy chief ministers, Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde and Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP’s) Ajit Pawar. The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP combine had secured a landslide victory in the recently held Maharashtra Assembly elections, winning 230 out of 288 seats. The grand swearing-in ceremony was held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai where Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the chief minister and the two deputy chief ministers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Senior Union Ministers, Governors, Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states, party officials, and leaders of Mahayuti attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Devendra Fadnavis on taking oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar on taking oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that this team is a blend of experience and dynamism and with the collective efforts of the team, Mahayuti alliance got historic mandate in Maharashtra. The Prime Minister said that the team will work to fulfil the aspirations of the people and to ensure good governance. He also assured all possible support from the Centre in furthering development in the state. | | | |
