India’s Kapila-Castro Advance To Mixed Doubles Pre-Quarterfinals At Malaysia Open | | | NEW DELHI JANUARY 08:- In Badminton, India’s Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Castro have advanced to the Mixed Doubles Pre-quarterfinals at the Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur this morning. The ace duo defeated Sung Hyun Ko and Hye Won Eom of South Korea, 21-13, 21-14, in the first round. The star Indian duo will next take on Chi Zhang and Xing Cheng of China, in the round of 16 tomorrow Another Indian duo, Aadhya Variyath and Sathish Karunakaran also have advanced to the Mixed Doubles Pre-quarterfinals. They defeated compatriots, Amrutha Pramuthesh and Ashith Surya, 21-13, 21-15 in the round of 32 this morning. In women’s doubles, India’s Ritupanda Panda and Swetaparna Panda have suffered an early exit from the tournament. They lost to the Thailand pair of Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard, 17-21, 10-21. While in Men’s Singles, Indian shuttler, Priyanshu Rajawat also faced a defeat in the first round.
