| IGNOU offers PG certificate in Cyber Law – A professional program to enhance skills in digitally driven world | | | | Jammu, Jan 17:(correspondent) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is offering its Postgraduate Certificate in Cyber Law program for the January 2025 admission cycle. This program is designed to meet the evolving demands of the knowledge society and the growing need for expertise in cyber laws.
Director of the Regional Centre Jammu, Dr. Sandeep Gupta, highlighted that the program, delivered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL), is ideal for professionals and graduates seeking to gain a comprehensive understanding of cyber law, cybercrime and the legal frameworks governing cyberspace.
The program is intended for professionals in fields such as law, computer science, chartered accountancy as well as individuals pursuing careers in cyber law research, IT-related roles and legal advisory positions in different organizations and multinational companies.
Through this program, participants will gain crucial knowledge and skills to address challenges in cyber law, tackle online frauds, scams and cybercrime. This will also help to understand social and intellectual property issues in cyberspace and explore global legal and policy frameworks for regulating cyberspace. The curriculum also covers the intersection of commerce and cyberspace and delves into the IT Act, data security, privacy laws and data protection.
Dr. Gupta emphasized the significance of this program, noting that it is designed to meet the needs of cyber professionals in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. He said that the aspiring professionals can now apply for this unique program in the ongoing January 2025 admission cycle, unlocking promising career opportunities in the expanding field of cyber law.
