| HIGH LEVEL & ZONAL LEVEL DRUG DISPOSAL COMMITTEES DESTROYED HUGE QUANTITY OF SEIZED CONTRABAND | | | | Jammu JANUARY 29:-
As part of special fortnight drive for disposal of seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the High Level Drug Disposal Committee and Zonal Level Drug Disposal Committee destroyed huge quantity of contraband including, Heroin, Charas, Ganja and poppy straw seized by district Police Udhampur, District Police Rajouri and ANTF Jammu .
Drug disposal has been done after fulfilling all formalities under section 52 -A of NDPS Act and following proper procedure as laid down in GSR 899 (E).
Huge quantity of seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances weighing 741.685 Kg was destroyed under the orders of High Level Drug Disposal Committee and Zonal level Drug Disposal Committee through incineration process in the presence of Executive Magistrate Ist Class, officers of Regional Pollution Control Board Jammu, CID, ANTF and other agencies.
High Level Drug Disposal Committee comprises IGP Crime J&K Dr Sunil Gupta as Chairman & SSP Benam Tosh , DySP Tanvir Jeelani, SrPO Naveed Anjum as members, whereas Zonal level Drug Disposal consists of SSP Crime Jammu Benam Tosh as Chairman & Deputy SP ANTF Jammu Tanvir Jeelani , Senior Prosecuting officer Crime Branch (EOW) Jammu Naveed Anjum as members.
