| Forest deptartment distributes 2 lakh saplings on Eid-ul-Fitr free of cost | | The theory of green revolution being asked people to learn | | |  JAMMU, APRIL 01 : With an aim to make the better and clean environment in union territory of state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Forest department distributed around 2 lakh
nursery saplings of various kinds as free of cost, among the people on commemorative day of rich Eid-ul-Fitr.
The saplings were distributed by the forest department officials among the people near the Eid Gahs and Mosques following the Eid Namaz, ensuring maximum participation from the community.
Forest Minister, Javed Ahmed Rana, appreciated the efforts of Forest Officers in distributing the saplings. He said that by encouraging plantation drive on this holy occasion, “we aim to raise awareness among the people broadly with intention to the environmental sustainability growth and importance of afforestation.”
The initiative aimed to inspire the people towards the plantation for making the rich environment around our surroundings and as a part of their Eid celebrations, contribution of the people be remembered and make learnable for at all .
“It is a significant to say here that the step taken towards to make healthier environment in Jammu and Kashmir and community involvement is an appreciative and remarkable to protect and expand our green revolutionary forests,” he said.
In the presence of participants for plantation drive Rana said that the remarkable initiative is part of our commitment for to enhancing green revolutionary steps across the region.
The J&K Forest Department has urged upon the people to come forward to make the approachable life more beautiful to make your presence to build the state of Jammu and kashmir with your own hands by do the participations like this significant event take care of the distributed saplings actively and make the state more enriched and valued one across the globe.
On this remarkable event locals were sensitized about the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change and enhancing urban rich greenery for promoting afforestation and ecological balance at large. | | | | |
