Army Chief Gen Dwivedi to visit Srinagar on Friday | | | New Delhi, Apr 24: Top most Indian army officer the Chief of Army Staff Gen Upendra Dwivedi is travelling to Srinagar tomorrow and will took the stock of situation that prevailed in the state of Jammu and Kashmir after the very barbaric incident that occurred on yesterday in which more than 28 precious lives of the innocent tourists of the particular community got gunned down and massacred brutally . The top Army Commanders will brief to Gen Dwivedi and will informed him about the latest situations on various aspects of the security scenario, sources told to sringar based media reporters. sources added more and said that the Indian government has taken the stand strongly against the such brutal act that is against the humanity and said that this kind of terrorism will not be tolerate and has categorically warned the Pakistan that there would be no zero tolerance over like this sensitive issue and India will never remain salient will soon retaliate with good response to handle. It is pertinent to mention here that already India on Wednesday downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan and announced a raft of measures including expulsion of Pakistani military attaches, suspension of the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 and immediate shutting down of the Attari land-transit post in view of the cross-border links to the Pahalgam carnage. The punitive measures against Pakistan were decided at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
