| Ladakh University Kicks Off Inter-College Sports & Youth Fest In Kargil | | | | LADAKH MAY 03:-
In Ladakh, University of Ladakh’s Kargil Campus today inaugurated a grand three-day Inter-College Sports Meet-cum-Youth Festival, aimed at promoting youth engagement, sportsmanship, and cultural harmony. The event is being organized by the Department of Physical Education, Kargil Campus.
Inaugurating the event, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Saket Kushwaha, announced that the festival would be made an annual feature. He also declared that horse polo would be introduced in future university sports events.
The highlight of the opening ceremony was a symbolic presentation using a drone and mini vehicle to carry handballs onto the field, representing innovation and the spirit of the fest. The event was officially launched with the signing of the inauguration board by dignitaries and team representatives.
The sports competitions commenced with a handball match between EJM College Leh and the Leh Campus of the University of Ladakh.
The Inter-College Sports Meet-cum-Youth Fest will continue over the next two days with archery, handball matches, and a series of cultural programs showcasing the diverse talents of Ladakh’s youth. | | | | |
