Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Visits Bhuj To Interact With Air Warriors

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has left for Bhuj, Gujarat, this morning. During the visit, he will interact with Air Warriors at the Bhuj Air Force Station. Mr Singh will also visit Smritivan, which is a memorial and museum, as a tribute to those who lost their lives in the 2001 Bhuj earthquake.
In a significant display of solidarity and support, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh visited Bhuj Air Force Station today to interact with personnel of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Border Security Force (BSF), and other security agencies stationed in the region.

During his visit, Rajnath Singh was briefed on the current security situation and operational preparedness by senior commanders. Lt Gen Dheeraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, was present to provide detailed insights into the exemplary role being played by the Indian Army and BSF operating under the Bhuj-based Independent Infantry Brigade.

The Raksha Mantri commended the coordinated efforts of all security forces in safeguarding vital military assets and infrastructure in the strategically important region.
His visit underscores the government's commitment to the welfare of its armed forces and the nation’s resolve to counter any external threats effectively.

Of particular note was the recent success of Indian Army Air Defence units deployed near Bhuj and Naliya, who have neutralized multiple hostile Pakistani drones attempting to target critical military installations. These prompt and precise actions have reinforced India's robust defensive posture in the region.

Rajnath Singh’s interaction with the troops focused on acknowledging their courage, operational excellence, and high morale amid evolving security challenges, particularly in the sphere of drone warfare.
