Letter inside the post Written by Ashok Raina | | | A Letter means any communication, which is enclosed in an envelope and addressed but something is interesting and reimagining us how communications happen from the part of the sender or any government officials. You will need to open the seal of the envelope like me too. So, the quality of communication in the envelope and the kind of words used reflects the aspirations of the sender and the quality of his communication is matter to understand and be meaningful. The words inscribed within the letter inside the envelope and the attitude of government officials all the time raised many questions and I also found often something different apart from their obligations, charge and duty. If you don't believe me, I will say it in clear terms that whenever any officer communicates with someone, no one is assured of the words used by him. This is the reason and it has often been seen that all those correspondences are considered inhuman and are challenged in the courts. If I share my experience with you, I have always found the communication and correspondence received from the part of government officials to be very non-serious. The kind of work going on in government offices has become a laughing stock these days. My efforts to eliminate corruption in government offices and to remove irregularities and flaws in appointments are still continuing, although everyone knows how difficult it is to fight against corruption practice and has to face many difficulties. An RTI officer knows it well that he hides the information knowingly and deliberately and he himself gives the address to contact the next appealing officer and both the officers are in collusion with each other because both the officers are working on other posts in the department and they cannot be said to be away from the evil of corruption. Sometimes the bad guys even succeed in making the RTI Act fail. Many of the communications often prove meaningless and are like attempts by Government officials to jump out of the net cast by fishermen. The kind of words written by the officials in the letter sent in the post are actually very far from their responsibilities. If the action taken by them on many files in the offices is closely examined or investigated, then many cases of corruption will come to the fore. Under the provisions of the RTI Act 2005, any citizen of India can request for information from any public authority but that request often lands him in trouble because the information obtained traps the corrupt officials from some angle or the other even if the information provided is also incorrect. It is our duty to know the reasons why lakhs of files related to thousands of cases lying in the shelves of government offices still pending are being ignored and for how many years the files are being eaten by paper worms. Letter inside the post I received is very meaningful, surprising and almost disturbing and makes me feel duplicitous, sham, dishonesty in the public servants and in the context of my fight against corruption and irregularities in appointments and recruitment scams, scandals.
