The Holy Amarnath Yatra crosses 3 Lakh Mark | LG M anoj Sinha expressed his gratitude for the spiritual success of Yatra | | Srinagar, July 20 :-The annual Amarnath Yatra has crossed a major milestone and remarkable pilgrimage with more than 3 lakh pilgrims having paid rich obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas since the commence of pilgrimage that began on July 03 with fervor of joy and love.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday expressed his gratitude for the spiritual success of the yatra and shared his sentiments through a social media post.
“By the grace of Bhole Baba Amarnath Ji, the holy pilgrimage has surpassed the 3 lakh mark today. This sacred journey is a deeply enriching experience. May Baba’s blessings bring peace, fraternity , brotherhood strengthen the strong relations of each other and with fulfilment of aims to all. This year, the Amarnath Yatra 2025 is scheduled to continue for 38 days, concluding on August 5, the day of Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima. Pilgrims from across India have been arriving in huge numbers via both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes, with strict security, medical, and logistical arrangements in place. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), along with Jammu and Kashmir administration, has deployed over 50,000 personnel, including security forces, disaster response teams, and medical units, ensuring round-the-clock support to the devotees came from across the country .
Facilities such as widened tracks, oxygen booths, RFID tracking, and upgraded accommodation at various halting points have significantly improved the pilgrimage experience is self explanatory for to all .
Despite an initial terror attack near Pahalgam ahead of the yatra, the pilgrimage has proceeded smoothly with unprecedented public support and cooperation from local communities, who have been actively welcoming pilgrims on way to all enroots of the destination of shrine.
Officials expected that the number of pilgrims will be increased despite the inclement of weather condition to cross near about more than 5 lakh mark before the yatra concludes on the day of sharavan Purnima . | | | |
