| THE GREEN FORESTS ARE BEING CUT MERCILESSLY WRITTEN BY ASHOK RAINA | | | | In the midst of the common people suffering due to the collapse of mountains and erosion of lands, they are sharing and expressing their grief over the situation prevailing during the rainy season of this year.
Throughout this period, many shelters were destroyed, many were buried under the debris and many were seriously injured, but despite such a dire situation, the reckless cutting of forests continued unabated across the country, especially in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the one way the government is rehabilitating the people within the upper reaches of the mountains and setting up them there in some way or the other while on the other side the work of connectivity of roads to the mountains extensively large is also being carried out continuously since from the number of decades without any thinking over the most significant issue for the betterment of the future.
What are the so-called scientists or researchers in our country discovering and what is their role at present in making the stabilizing the laws of nature, However, looking at the current situation nothing positive seems to be happening or there is no evidence that can improve the country's deteriorating environmental situation to save the next coming generation from the clutches of cloud bursts or from any other natural disasters.
It gives our minds a lot of shock and pushes us very back by making us more and more about the facts and attitude of lakhs of forest department employees regarding their work and attitude towards their own country and people.
The most important thing for to learn and acquire is that no construction work should have been done from the foothills to the highest peaks of the mountains without the permission of the Ministry of the Forest Department but unfortunately the political interference and vote ballot policies of the cabinet ministers in this regard and for to gaining the personal benefits are causing great trouble to the entire nation.
Perhaps you will also agree with my views that the employees of the forest department are as much responsible for the daylight looting of the lush green and green trees in the forests equally as all the accused working employees are working near the police stations were often the incidents are to be given birth and without the mutual coordination or jointly cooperation it is never possible for the green gold to be looted in the wide-ranging day of sunlight.
I will definitely make you laugh that it was a matter of a day or two back when the police and forest department teams conducted a joint operation in the Shopian area of the valley of Kashmir and precious wood worth crores of rupees was cut from the forest and confiscated. In this context, many people were also taken into custody and many such incidents have happened till date but during the interrogation or while filing the charge sheet against the accused, it was never been inscribed or imagined that why the forest department employees did not hear the sounds of axes and saws during the indiscriminate and mercilessly cutting of forests till thousands of trees were cut and entire mountains were stripped bare in no time.
Why do people pretend to be ignorant even after knowing the truth? The green forests are being cut mercilessly.
