UP: 22 Teachers Dismissed For Using Fake Certificates, FIRs Ordered, Salaries To Be Recovered | | | UTTARPRADESH SEPTEMBER 26:- The Secondary Education Department has terminated the services of 22 teachers appointed in government secondary schools after it was found that they had secured jobs using forged documents in UP. The department has also directed that FIRs be lodged against them and that their salaries be recovered. The case dates back to 2014, when vacancies for male and female assistant teachers in the Azamgarh division were advertised. Appointments were made based on a merit list prepared from marks obtained in High School, Intermediate, graduation, and training. During verification, officials discovered that 22 teachers had submitted forged certificates. Consequently, their services were terminated on August 20. Orders were also issued to the respective District Inspectors of Schools to initiate legal action and recover the salaries disbursed to them. The dismissed teachers were posted in different districts. Following the department’s action, several of them have now approached the High Court seeking relief. The Secondary Education Department is preparing to file its response in court. The dismissed teachers include Vinay Kumar Yadav, Nutan Singh, Atul Prakash Verma, Pawan Kumar, Ankit Verma, Laxmi Devi, Rohini Sharma, Vivek Singh, Raj Rajat Verma, Amit Giri, Ruchi Singhal, Priyanka, Deepa Singh, Anita Rani, Preeti Singh, Nandini, Anand Soni, Geeta, Saloni Arora, Kiran Maurya, Ruman Vishwakarma and Sarita Maurya. | | | |
