| THERE IS NO PLACE FOR TERRORISM:- RAMAN | | | | JAMMU, Nov 11: Raman Suri, executive member, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu Kashmir, while criticized the successive governments over the plan and weak action against the terrorism in the sate has said that never in the history of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has such a vigorous and result-oriented campaign been launched against militancy, its over ground supporters, and moles working within the system.

Suri said that the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism has entered an unprecedented phase manner where not only active militants are being targeted but also those secretly aiding or sympathizing with them within government departments are being identified and removed. This, he alleged and said, reflects the clear commitment of the administration to uproot the entire terror ecosystem that has long destabilized peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Calling it a defining moment in Jammu and Kashmir’s fight against terrorism, Suri asserted that peace and prosperity cannot be achieved until the entire terror support structure is uprooted. “Every mole, every sympathiser, every overground worker whether weather in or out of the system must face the law. Only then can Jammu and Kashmir truly breathe free and move towards complete normalcy,” he said.
The BJP leader said that this unprecedented campaign against militancy and its local support network by Jammu & Kashmir Police including the identification and removal of moles and sympathizers embedded in government ranks must continue till the last mole is identified and weeded out of the system. The dismissal of two SPOs for their links with terrorists and anti-national elements and for aiding their activities is a right step and must be supported by all irrespective of their political affiliations.
Now that the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Ms. Mohita Sharma, has ordered their immediate dismissal, Police leadership reiterates a strict “zero tolerance” policy. He said that there is no place for terror sympathizers in the Jammu & Kashmir Police or in the Union Territory’s administration. He welcomed the expulsions as part of a larger, ongoing crackdown that has, in recent days, targeted upper-ground workers, local associates and the wider support structure that enables terrorism.
“Security forces have taken decisive action across districts to dismantle the terrorist ecosystem,” he said, adding these moves have already weakened the backbone of terror operations. Many active local terrorists have fled to occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan yet their networks continue to try to recruit and mislead our youth. That will not be allowed to stand, he asserted.
Raman Suri added that the government’s determination to root out sympathizers complements police lists and public advisories about individuals promoting terrorism from across the border, and demonstrated that anyone aiding terrorism will be exposed and punished under the law. He appealed to the people to cooperate with security agencies and the police saying that “our recovery and prosperity depend on removing every element that sustains terror and citizens’ cooperation is the single most powerful force in securing lasting peace and enabling development across the UT.” | | | | |
