| Three killed, 2 others injured as car carrying ‘barat’ plunges into gorge in J&K’s Kathua | | | | Kathua, Dec 04: Three persons were killed and two others injured after a car carrying a Barat skidded off the Bani–Bhandar road and plunged into a deep gorge in Kathua district on Thursday evening, officials said.
An official told media reporters that the vehicle, with five people onboard, met with the accident under mysterious circumstances.
Three persons, Rakesh Kumar of Gatti, Jeevan of Sitting Kote, and Vicky (son of Khem Raj), died on the spot.
Two others, aged between 22 and 23, sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment, the official added.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident.
