| I-day arrangements finalized at Kishtwar | | | | KISHTWAR, AUGUST 09: District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to finalise the arrangements for the smooth and enthusiastic celebration of Independence Day 2018.
It was decided that the main function shall be organized at Parade Ground where the Chief Guest would hoist the tricolor and take the salute of March Past contingents comprising JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC, NSS and School children.
It was informed that schools students and cultural troupes would present a cultural programme on patriotic and educative themes. The day will start with the playing of Shahnai Vadan by the Information Department in the wee hours.
Other necessary arrangements were also finalized which include seating arrangements, barricading, stage decoration, Security, Medical Facility, Drinking water facility, First Aid facility, Power supply, Sanitation, toilet facility, deployment of fire tenders and refreshment etc.
The DDC asked all the officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time.
It was also decided that full dress rehearsal would be held on 13th August 2018. | | | | |
