| Voting ends for final phase of Panchayat polls in Assam | | | |  Assam 09 December
Voting for the second and final phase of the Panchayat polls in Assam has concluded to elect 10 thousand 909 representatives.
Official sources said, polling was by and large peaceful.
Over 50 per cent polling has been recorded as per the provisional report. A total of 35 thousand 56 candidates are in the fray in this phase. 292 candidates are declared winners unopposed.
Counting of votes will be held on 12th of this month.
All the major political parties including the BJP, Congress, Asom Gana Parishad and AIUDF are in the fray | | | | |
