Situation calm, peaceful in J&K; restrictions eased

In the Kashmir Valley restrictions were further eased on Thursday. Mobile connectivity was restored in some places and vehicular movement improved. Meanwhile medical services were running unhindered in the Valley. Here's a look at the latest situation in the Valley....

Situation is slowly turning to normalcy in the Kashmir valley after the abrogation of article 370..the situation remained calm and normal on the 25th day on Thursday.

Vehicular movement has improved..and restrictions have been eased in 81 police station areas. Even though security apparatus continues to be tight to prevent any law and order situation. Telephone connections have also been restored at many places in Kashmir.

MEA has said efforts are being made to normalise the situation completely and it will be done at the earliest.

Movement is normal on the roads in Srinagar and people are leading a normal life. Hawkers were also seen on the roads. Food and other essential items are available in required quantity in the valley.

Situation is also normal in the hospitals and all services and facilities are being provided to the patients. Women patients and expecting women are especially being taken care of.

In Kupwara too life is normal and markets are buzzing once again people in kupwara have got relief with the restoration of telephone lines.

On Wednesday, Governor Satya Pal Malik had made a big announcement. He said that 50,000 jobs will be available for the region in the next three months. This will be the largest recruitment drive in Jammu and Kashmir.

The governor had also said the NAFED was willing to commit over ₹5000 crore for procuring over 50% of apple production of J&K and this would benefit over seven lakh apple farmers.

The administration's efforts are not only directed at ensuring all facilities reach the people..but also focussed on taking forward the development of the regionto a higher level for the overall benefit of the people.
