7 year jinx ends as LG admin throws open Kashmir Golf Course for younger generation
 
Srinagar, July 06 (Agencies): The seven year jinx was broken on Monday on the silky greens of Kashmir’s one of the historical Golf course when the first four ball play was played by Bakshi Javed along with three others and was witnessed by a huge crowd of Golfer’s including young children as the LG administration opened the Kashmir Golf course.

As per details available with media and this press the Kashmir golf course was opened for the interested children from all strata of the society thus putting an end to the age old taboo of tagging it as the game of elite.

The enthusiastic children from different schools couldn’t resist the temptation to touch the Golf kits and roll on the splendid greens of the renovated Kashmir Golf course.

The people in general and specifically the sports loving lot have appreciated this initiative of opening of this Golf course as an academy for training and honing the golfing potential of the new generation.

Rauf Tramboo while appreciating this step has urged the new generation to utilise this facility to transform themselves as national golfing players.

Mushtaq chaya a prominent hotelier and industrialist has extended gratitude to the LG administration and Tourism Department dignitaries with a hope that this facility will be opened to the kids from villages and small townships as well so that the hidden unexplored sports talent can be given a platform.

The administrator KGC who is also Director SKICC and MD Golf development authority has requested the parents to take time out and use this huge infrastructure for grooming the future golfing talent
